Why donate to Us?
We work with disadvantaged rural village schools in Ga-Phaahla region in Limpopo Province South Africa. In total about 1400 children attend those schools. In 2021 a survey showed that none of the four primary schools, and the secondary school, had computers to use in teaching.
Some of the learners come from poor homes with no phone, television, or computer of any kind. To them a mobile phone is a novelty.
Concern raised by one of the school Principals is that in the fast-developing digital world these underprivileged children are being left behind.
Having digital skills will enable them to function and progress in the world we all live in.
Also, the children live in poor communities where they have very limited leisure experiences. So, to enrich their life experiences, from 2024 MTCF will work with the schools to promote access to visual arts by supporting initiatives through school projects.
How you can help?
There are about 1,400 children attending our target schools. Our goal is to provide educational Tablets for them all by 2027.
Each curriculum pre-loaded Tablet costs £102.00.
Since April 2022 we have 74 children at Lobethal Primary school sharing 10 donated Tablets.
By August 2023, the 200 Children at Ngwanamashile Primary school will have 20 Tablets to share among them. Not ideal, but the schools are grateful and are finding innovative ways to benefit the children.
Any amount of money you donate will assist in providing more tablets to ensure that poor children get opportunity to begin developing digital skills fit for life in the 21Century.
Help us to promote social change through education and skilling of underprivileged children
